Magus or Magician: Unveiling the Thoth and Hermetic Tarot
The Hermetic Tarot and the Thoth Tarot channel the esoteric wisdom of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, though the former faithfully reflects the Victorian occult tradition while the latter explodes with the primal energy of Aleister Crowley's Thelema. This class compares several major arcana cards side-by-side to decode their messages and construct a bridge between art, science, and magick.
Amy Fletcher of The Mortality Project is an independent scholar and writer who focuses on death literacy, esotericism, and living fully through mortality awareness. As a coach, she works with clients who seek to find meaning and purpose in the second and third acts of life.
Memento Mori: The World of Edwardian Spiritualism
Death was a constant presence in the Edwardian Age, with figures as illustrious as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini arguing fiercely about whether it was possible to contact the spirit world. In this 90-minute course, we will look at the tools and claims of Spiritualism and consider what the Edwardian age might still be able to teach our own about death, memory, and hope.
You can attend this class without taking the whole series.
